For those unaware I am no longer working full time in web development and instead I’m flying planes around Europe for easyJet. That does not however mean I’m not doing web stuff anymore, I am! I’m pleased to still be involved at Armitage Online and they recently launched two sites that I’d been working on. The first is Leonardsfield House, a website for a Keswick guest house which is based on the nifty little CMS Perch, which is brilliant for straight forward no nonsense CMS needs.

As you may have noticed about a week ago I gave the blog a spring clean and changed to a new theme I’ve been working on for a little while. I’ve felt for a while that the old site was rushed out a little back in October when I wasn’t 100% sure what was going to be the main focus on here and only a few months down the line I wanted a refresh for various reasons.
Using the great WordPress theme test drive plugin I worked away in the background with the site live putting together my new theme.

Well I started this post knowing full well there’d be plenty of resolution posts around as we enter this new year, and having not got this finished quickly, there are plenty around. You can’t really make anyone follow a resolution and you should all take up your own but here’s five suggestions from me, if you have room in your life for 12 then head over to Six Revisions and have a read of A Designer’s List of New Year’s Resolutions.

Well I’ve been doing this web design blogging for a month now. Sure I’ve been working in web design and development for years and I’ve blogged before occasionally keeping fifthandlast.com updated but this is my first time blogging about web related topics.
